Don Browning Ends Campaign for US Congress District 6 Ocala, and the newly drawn District 11that is about to take effect.

As of today, March 16, 2012, I have ordered the Don Browning for Congress congressional campaign suspended.

Steps are underway to end the Don Browning for Congress and:

I extend my full support to Rich Nugent Candidate for US Congress Fl D-11. Leaders from across our new district have joined in extending our hopes and prayers to Rich and Wendy Nugent as they endeavor to represent our area in the US Congress. Public life is a complete and total family effort. Rich Nugent enjoys support from Marion County as will as The Villages, Lake, Sumter and Citrus community leaders and voters.

It has been a long road shared by thousands of supportive voters, to challenge congressman Cliff Stearns and his congressional history beginning in 1988 with a National Debt level of $3.5 trillion to our current level of over $15 trillion today. My current campaign was designed to debate Stearns' record with him and hopefully send him to retirement along with a vigorous debate on the issues facing our district traditionally centered here in Marion County as District 6.

In a recent questioning of Congressman Stearns, Don Browning asked, "given your 23 years in congress under both democrat and republican majorities you have participated in the largest run-up of debt in our history, what advice would you have for our new congressman to avoid the setbacks that you have experienced during the 23 years it took to run up this $11 plus trillion of national debt?"

Cliff Stearns' answer; " study how I voted and vote exactly the same way." Of course we do not want to repeat the errors of the past. We must learn from the past. I have discussed the many issues facing our old District 6 and the new Districts 3 and 11. Repeatedly I have heard that we must reform congress and toss out the old guard in order to promote jobs. Rich Nugent is the way to congressional reform.

My focus has been on promoting District 11 that includes Ocala to the North and Brooksville to the South with The Villages in the center and Crystal River to the West. Overwhelming support has come from all parts of the new district for freshman congressman Rich Nugent of Hernando County. Where ever I go, I find strong support for Mr. Nugent. I first met Rich Nugent and his wife Wendy on the 2010 campaign trail at Howey in-the-Hills, in Lake County. I was impressed then, as now, with Nugent's kindness, strength and stature as a person. My efforts have been to secure strong US Congressional representation for our district. We must reverse the economic downturn in our area, and to that end I have campaigned to keep the Fl D-11 Congressional Seat in Marion County. I encourage past Stearns supporters to take a strong look at Rich Nugent, as he has accomplished a considerable amount during his time in congress. Pulling people together to create reform seems to be his strength along with a strong sense of good, right and justice.

Rich Nugent left for Washington DC with a briefcase and has reported for work daily with determinination. Rich Nugent can and will do the job of restoring our faith in America now and for generations to come.

Now, because of a coming together of local leaders and a strong pledge by Congressman Nugent, I believe the best way to pull together a vibrant community here in District 11 is to end my campaign, and get behind Congressman Nugent and support his plan to promote a vibrant economic team including The Villages in the center, Lake, Sumter, and Hernando in the South and Citrus County in the West.

I endorse Candidate Rich Nugent and his recently unveiled Economic Revitalization Plan for our area. We have had a strong and frank local discussion and now have formed strongly behind Candidate Nugent in our efforts to reform Congress, return to the Constitution, restore confidence of youth and eldery as we join with all District 11 in electing our new district representative to US Congress,

Congress votes to de-fund Social Security

Billed as an Election Year Present to Present Obama, Republican Leadership voted to extend the cut in Social Security Funding.

Retirees were promised a long term retirement program funded by their contributions from every paycheck, however the rules are changing and funding is being cut during retirement.

Originally designed as a pay as you go social retirement insurance policy, most retirees express dismay at the idea their payout benefits are now considered Charity and funding has become a political football. Don Browning, a navy veteran linked the problems of believing government managed retirement programs. Veterans are also seeing their retirement come under the knife. Running as the Candidate of Choice for the new Fl D 11 Browning supports promises made, promises kept when establishing a contract for retirement. Social Security or Veteran's retirement is not a hand out. Government is out of control and breaking a contract is just plain wrong.

With congressional law maker ratings in the gutter, Cliff Stearns votes to cut Social Secutity funding another 10 months.

Enters the race for 2012 Election

Ocala Fl- Don Browning kicks off Congressional Campaign in new D 26. The 6th district is being redrawn by the Florida Legislature. D-26 is an approximation of the outline of the new district where Browning's campaign will center. Voter response has been strong and encouraging as we receive candidate petitions.

A US Navy veteran, successful businessman and active reformer, Don launched his efforts to reform congress with over 20,000 republican voters in the 2010 republican primary. Many republicans voted to have long time Cliff Stearns consider retirement after 22 years. Don Browning hopes to be part of a national movement that started with over 60 new reform minded congressmen in 2010. Bringing back American Jobs and ousting old line congressmen is Don Browning's plan.

Following his strong showing among republicans in 2010 against a long time incumbent, Don Browning wants to add to the 30% showing in his first national election. "We started with an idea to reform an out of control congress and now I will finish the job by representing our new district in Washington DC." "Our new district will be a reform base for the future." Browning feels his generation worked a lifetime to build a strong America and he is not willing to let their retirements evaporate in a flash bang of national debt. Current workers will be able to expect manufacturing that is competitive with other countries.

Exploding National Debt and Runaway Regulation are a real threat to jobs, stealing away the opportunity for a high quality life from the young and stealing the value of a lifetime of savings from the retired workers of America. The last 20 years has been a trip to the national poorhouse, and a wrecking ball for our Constitution. US Congress is still filled with old line incumbent congressmen facing a historic low rating that if judged like bonds our congress would receive a Junk Bond Rating. Building debt, piling on regulation and creating uncertainty is how incumbent congressmen are killing American jobs.

Just in: Cliff Stearns may walk away from 6 Congressional District Ocala area.

It has been a long time coming, 24 years. The US debt was 3.5 trillion when he entered and grew to 15 Trillion during his stay.

Stearns promised to limit his stay in congress several times only to renig on his promise.

Stearns finally got it right. It was time for him to go. He didn't appear at a single candidate last election cycle, using federal employees to debate Browning.

as a ground swell of support chants for his entering the congressional race.

The pressure was just too great. It was leaked out by 24 year Congressional seat holder Cliff Stearns that he is not going to run for the congressional District 6 seat. Apparently Stearns is abandoning his long time congressional seat in the face of a second challenge. Softened up by Congressional Candidate Don Browning, Stearns is apparently throwing in the towel. Never challenged in 20 years Stearns was challenged in 2010 by Browning. Now it appears that Congressional Candidate Ted Yoho is opening the door wider, so wide that Stearns is making a fast exit. It remains to be seen if Stearns will take on the rookie role in the new district that may be formed by the Florida Legislature.

Browning is being asked to again run in light of the new district. Having endorsed Ted Yoho, Browning would be a strong contender in this years election if he runs. Don is considering a run because of a ground swell of supporters. Jobs ans toss out the incumbents in congress are Browning's key concerns.
